How to plan your week to hit your goals (in 15 minutes)

June 15, 2026 · 5 min read

People who hit their goals don't have more discipline than you: they have a plan. And not a complicated one. Fifteen minutes on a Sunday (or whichever day you prefer) decide whether you run your week or it runs you.

1. Pick 3 priorities, not twenty

A list of 20 things isn't a plan, it's anxiety. Ask yourself: if I only achieve 3 things this week, which would make it worth it? Those are your priorities. The rest is filler.

2. Give the important stuff a day and time

A goal without a time is a wish. Don't write "exercise": write "gym Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6pm". What has a slot on the calendar happens. What's left "whenever I can" doesn't.

3. Leave gaps for the unexpected

The classic mistake is planning your week to 100% and the first surprise knocks it down. Plan to 70%. Leave air. That way a weird day doesn't derail the whole plan.

4. Review mid-week

On Wednesday, check how you're doing. Did you follow through? Need to readjust? Five minutes of review keep you from reaching Sunday feeling the week slipped away.

5. Next Sunday, repeat

Planning isn't an event, it's a weekly habit. Every Sunday, 15 minutes. Over time it becomes automatic and your week stops being reactive chaos.

The perfect plan is useless if on Tuesday at 6pm you don't remember (or don't feel like it). That's why Cero Excusas takes your plan and reminds you at the exact time, asks if you followed through and insists if you fail. You plan once; the coach makes sure it happens.
