What to eat to lose weight without crazy diets
Every year a new miracle diet shows up. And every year people quit it. Losing weight doesn't require magic or cutting out whole food groups: it requires understanding three things and being consistent with them.
1. It all comes down to a calorie deficit
You lose fat when you eat fewer calories than you burn. Period. It doesn't matter if it's keto, fasting or whatever: they all work because they create that deficit. The best “diet” is the one you can sustain without suffering.
2. Protein is your best ally
Eating enough protein keeps you full, protects your muscle while you lose weight, and makes your body burn more digesting it. Include a source in every meal:
- Eggs, chicken, fish, lean meat.
- Lentils, beans, chickpeas.
- Greek yogurt, low-fat cheese.
3. Real food, not “light” products
Fill your plate with food that grows or walks: vegetables, fruit, grains, protein. They're more filling, have fewer calories per bite and actually nourish you. “Diet” ultra-processed products usually leave you hungry and craving more.
Tricks that actually move the needle
- Fill half your plate with vegetables before serving the rest.
- Drink water; often “hunger” is thirst.
- Don't drink your calories: sugary drinks are the silent enemy.
- Don't chase perfection. Chase consistency: 80% right, always, wins.
Diets don't fail for lack of information, they fail for lack of follow-through. A coach that reminds you to eat well at each hour and asks if you did it keeps your meals on track without you having to think about it. That's what Cero Excusas does.
Your coach reminds you on WhatsApp and, if you ignore it, calls you.
